If you are a wedding photographer, you know how important it is to shoot wedding details such as rings, dress or invitation.

Buying a macro lens would be the best solution to shoot all those tiny details, but if it is not in your budget, you could try to use a Marumi macro filter.

There is no loss of light, it’s not as heavy and big as a lens, and last but not least, it is really affordable.

So, yesterday, I have received my Marumi DHG 200 Achromat +5 bought on Amazon, and I’ve just tried it.

Even if the result comes pretty close to a macro lens, it is not a 1:1 ratio. It’s more proxy photography than macro. Still, it’s a good solution if you don’t want to break your piggy bank.
